Celebrating International Day for Women and Girls in Science Event

The 11th of February has been set aside as a day for celebrating globally women and girls in science and we at Exquitec Education Technology always give our best to making this day a worthwhile event.

To celebrate the International day for Women and Girls in Science, we hosted an event for secondary school girls at Ijebu-Ode and also had a science fair booth at the The Incubator, Victoria Island Lagos, hosted by IHS towers.

Our quota towards encouraging more girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and bridging the gap of gender inequality around the globe.
We had the distinguished presence of Mrs. Remi Willoughby a STEM and Robotics Education consultant and Prof. Kehinde Alebiosu a professor of Science Education come inspire the girls to go STEM On!

At the Lagos science fair, we conducted basic chemical experiments and food test, while we had hands on with micro:bits and made a DNA Code Bracelet at Ijebu-Ode among other activities.
More than ever today, the world needs science and science needs women, the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
